The Northern Lights Webcam page

Welcome to The Northern Lights web cameras, Porjus.

We now have five web cameras installed at Arctic Colors Gallery. Two cameras views west, one camera north and two cameras east. This enables you to view the three directions Northern Lights are most often seen from the gallery.

The web cameras are controlled directly from Japan, photographing changing seasons and views of Nortern Lights from Gallery with full 24 hour, daily updates, 365 days archive and movies. A project by Yoshi Maejima, Tokyo, Japan.

The cameras operate 24 hours a day but the Northern Lights are not seen during the months of May to late August here, due to the 24 hour daylight and the light from the midnight sun. It is possible to see northern lights during the hours of darkness, which of course vary from month to month from September to April.

There are no set times for the Northern Lights to appear so view the cameras as often as you can
